Job Description

Banyan Search is assisting a non-profit organization with the search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be responsible and have direct oversight for several functions including Finance & Accounting, Purchasing, Budgets, and Payroll. Additional responsibilities include providing direction over the Annual Audit process and the administration of the organization’s Pension and Insurance arrangements. The CFO will also provide financial guidance and direction to several divisions/agencies that fall under the non-profit’s organizational structure. The CFO position will work closely with and report to the President of the organization.

Responsibilities for the CFO position will include:

• Provide general accounting functions
• Provide timely financial analysis and reporting
• Oversee and maintain all banking arrangements and accounts
• Administration of the budget process for the organization and other divisions and/or agencies
• Oversight of investment activities working closely with investment advisors and institutions
• Manage accounting staff including training and performance reviews

Qualified CFO candidates will possess:

• BS/BA in Accounting or Business Administration
• Non-profit experience a plus
• CPA preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to provide suggestions for process improvements
