Job Details

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and delivering outstanding services to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing for hearings and trials, conducting legal research, and managing extensive legal documentation.
Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses for hearings and trials.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
Review and summarize medical records, emphasizing key information relevant to the case.
Summarize depositions, accurately capturing essential details.
Perform bluebook cite checking to ensure legal documents are correctly cited and formatted.
Utilize Relativity software for managing and organizing large volumes of data and documents.
Coordinate with witnesses, experts, and other professionals to gather information and prepare for trial.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date case file system, ensuring confidentiality.
Meet a billable hour requirement of 1500 hours per year.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a preference for experience in labor and employment litigation.
Comprehensive knowledge of the legal process, terminology, and court rules and procedures.
Proven experience in trial preparation, bluebook cite checking, and using Relativity software.
Proficiency in reviewing and summarizing medical records and depositions.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software.
Paralegal certification is highly desirable.
