A Private family looking to hire a Nanny/Housekeeper in their Brooklyn home. They would like to have someone hired by September.
The Ideal Candidate: This job requires some flexibility and the ability to become an integral part of the family unit. With extremely hands on parents, who both work freelance and in and out of home, a person who can run the home - doing all laundry, some cooking for the family, organizing groceries in the pantry and household items, keeping stock of inventory, light cleaning, tidying, organizing of toys and clothes, watering indoor plants, running errands (Receiving packages, sending out letters/packages). Childcare include - taking care of the 2 year old. Taking him out, putting him down for nap. Picking up the older child, 6, from school. Making them dinner and getting theme ready for bed. Priorities - Childcare - Ability to join a family and bring a positive grounded energy. - Help the parents do all the chores of the house: allowing them to spend more time with their children - Healthy Cooking- An awareness and commitment to healthy lifestyle- awareness and support for ND child. - able to hold space for non gender conforming child - deeply loving of children
What Works Best for Family: We need someone who is able to become a part of the family. Is super organized and friendly. French or Urdu/hindi speaking is a bonus. Someone who enjoys running and organizing a large home. Spending time with the kids and is familiar with kind gentle parenting. Someone who is accepting of all and non judgmental. We are looking for someone to stay for at least 2 years, and open the job shifting as the younger child spends more time in school. To a more house manager position.
