One of Nebraska’s most trusted health systems is currently seeking a Perioperative Services Nurse Manager to lead their suite of surgical operations, as well as continuing their high standard of excellence in patient care in serving their local community!
This Hospital is located in Central Nebraska, and has a great reputation for serving their local community with comprehensive care options, including: inpatient and outpatient Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Emergency Care, and a cutting edge Maternal Child Health Ward. The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will join a hospital that provides top notch care for their patients at a state of the art facility that has been open for over 10 years.
This position will report directly to the Administrative Director of Surgical Services at this hospital. Reporting to the Perioperative Services Nurse Manager is a dedicated team of Surg Techs, Endoscopy technicians, and OR nurses who are trained to Scrub and Circulate. Additionally, this Manager will oversee 45 FTEs throughout the Surgical and Endoscopy units.
The Perioperative Services Unit is comprised of surgical staff that include seasoned General Surgery and Endoscopy specialists. Other areas of surgical specialties include an award winning Spinal Surgery unit, a Plastic surgery unit, and a Vascular team, as well as General surgical needs. The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will supervise the care of both the Operating Room and the Endoscopy suite, as well as overseeing operational ability, availability of medications and supplies, as well as ensuring necessary cleanliness of the unit.
The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing of the operating room, as well as working with Sterile Processing and PACU leadership to ensure consistency and efficiency of operations. They will supervise all nurses and technical personnel assigned to the unit, as well as advising and coordinating the daily activities of all personnel. This facility has an exciting education program teaching Periop 101, which the Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will be able to spearhead. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring nurses, as well as someone who has a passion for continuous education.
