Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Receiving Tech – SA III. You will unload and verify accuracy of all incoming supplies equipment.

Job Description

• Delivery supplies to appropriate areas according to the receiving document from Meditech.
• Assist with staging outgoing/incoming shipments to hospital. Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Verifies the accuracy of the shipment against vendor packing slip and hospital purchase order.
• Inspects shipment for damages, spoilage, and expiration dates.
• Ensures all discrepancies are recorded on packing slip and notes are entered on receiving document line in Meditech computer system E-mails purchasing with problems regarding nonstock items, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
• Accurately enters data in Meditech computer system, or in the manual log to record packages without a purchase order.
• Maintains files for receiving records Identifies and documents follow up regarding problems and returns by e-mail.
• Processes items for return in a timely manner.
• Loads carts/pallets going to; unload carts/pallets coming from hospitals as needed.
• Tags or marks items for delivery to proper location and destination.
• Ships and handles hazardous materials in accordance with Hazardous.
• Materials Regulations (HMR).
• Keeps and maintains a work area clean of trash and debris daily.
• Learns all procedures necessary for proper operation of lift, pallet jacks, dock levelers, forklift, etc.

Skills Required

• Two years of relevant work experience in Material Management
• Knowledge of computer basics.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in problem solving analysis.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to do basic numerical calculations.
• Ability to learn to operate various equipment in the department.
• Ability to effectively communicate under various conditions.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school graduate.

Additional Requirements

• Shift time: 7:00 am start time; including holiday work.

Pay Rate

• $17.00 per hour
