LaSalle Network has an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Ledger Accountant located in Nashville, TN.  The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial statements and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.  

Senior General Ledger Accountant Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Lead the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations and support as required
• Work closely with other departments, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to policies

Senior General Ledger Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, posting journal and payroll entries is required
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and complex formulas
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data
• Must be Excel proficient
